  Color & Weight Policy
Don’t you just hate it when you order a disc and have no idea what color or weight will arrive? Well, so do we. That’s why Disc Golf Store provides you with the ability to select a color/weight range as you shop that is directly tied to our stock! Look around, there are not too many other sites out there that offer this level of service.

How do we do this? We classify all discs that arrive at our facility according to color and weight ranges, and update our site with this new stock at least once a day. This information then appears next to the product listing for every disc we carry. For example, if you are looking for an Innova Wraith STAR disc and see the option “170 – 172 Bright”, this tells you that we currently have at least one (probably more) Wraith STAR disc in stock that weighs 170g to 172g in one of the colors we have identified as being bright (below). We take a similar approach with other products as well, except that we list the options that are specific to that item rather than color and weight. For example, when you look at our bag selection, you will see the color we currently have in stock for every bag. This way, if you want a green bag you get a green bag. Simple, right? That’s what we think, too.
At Disc Golf Store, our focus is simple – You! That starts with providing you with the information you need to know about the products you are ordering so that you can make an informed buying decision. Here are the facts about our color and weight ranges:

Light Discs

Light colors include (but are not limited to) white, yellow, light blue, medium blue, beige, light green, and light gray.

Bright Discs

Bright colors include (but are not limited to) pink, orange, lavender, teal, bright yellow, and bright green.

Dark Discs

Dark colors include (but are not limited to) black, green, dark blue, gray, red, and purple.

Disc Weights

Disc Golf Store divides all discs into one of the following weight ranges:
  • 120 - 144 Grams
  • 144 - 159 Grams (a.k.a 150 Class)
  • 160 - 165 Grams
  • 166 - 169 Grams
  • 170 - 172 Grams
  • 173 - 176 Grams
  • 177+ Grams (Any disc 177g or heavier, may be as heavy as 200g)

What is this sport anyway? Disc golf (also referred to as "frisbee golf") is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, however, players use a flying disc, or Frisbee®. The sport was formalized in the 1970s, and shares with "ball golf" the object of completing each hole in the fewest number of strokes (or, in the case of disc golf, fewest number of throws). Currently, there are more than 1,750 disc golf courses worldwide, with over 1,400 in the USA.
